Protection Spell

for Antonio Porchia

A simple poet once said
'Yes, this is what good is:
to forgive evil.  There is
no other good.'

His name was Antonio
Porchia, he wrote a small
book of such aphorisms.

That is not all he had to say
on the subject of good and evil.

He also stated "That in man
which cannot be domesticated
is not his evil but his goodness."

We may apply this tenet
in a likewise manner today.

Some might suggest that
"seriousness is to forgive silliness,"
but I beg to differ:

I say "Silliness forgives seriousness;
There can be no other silliness."

Forgive us, O Lord, for we do
not know what we think.

We wear our convictions like
armor and now my wish is to
walk naked among mankind.
